The decision read has four parts.
- Decision named. What is actually being decided. Most stuck decisions wear the wrong frame. The real decision underneath the visible one is what closes.
- Structural contradiction exposed. The unspoken fact that produces the stall. Usually one of: capital, control, ownership, authority, consequence.
- Cost of delay quantified. What the open decision is costing each week. Three layers: opportunity, relational, structural. The visible layer is the smallest.
- Next path clarified. The two or three viable moves, each with stakes named. Reversibility, blast radius, sequencing.
That is the product. Every tier produces this. Form and depth differ.

Tier 01 · Outside Read — Monthly
One principal-level problem per month.
$2,500 / month · recurring · cancel with 30-day notice.
For owner-led businesses carrying problems that cut across operations, capital, sourcing, growth, family business, marketing, positioning, or AI workflow. Subscribe directly or apply first.
- One 90-minute call per month with Stan. Topic = whatever you carry that month.
- A written read after the call. The decision named, the structural contradiction exposed, the cost of delay named, the next path clarified.
- One short follow-up exchange (email or Signal) between calls if a structural question lands.
- Topic shifts month to month. Problem this month does not have to be problem next month.
- No deck. No homework. No upsell loop.
Tier 02 · Principal Circle
Two reads a month.
From $4,500 / month · three-month minimum, then ongoing.
For principals whose desk produces consequential calls every month. Capital, governance, leadership, growth, family business, exits, cross-border.
- Two 60-90 minute calls with Stan per month. Topics shift to whatever lands.
- A written summary after each call. Compact, decision-anchored.
- Async access between calls for live decisions (email or Signal).
- One quarterly pattern review of the decisions read together.
Tier 03 · Operating Partner
In the room with your team.
By application · scoped to the transition.
For decisions that belong to a board, founding team, or ownership group. Multi-principal transitions where the call must close in the actual room, not in a side-channel with one seat.
- Principal-to-principal engagement scoped to the transition (typically two to six months).
- Live decision-rights mapping across the principals.
- Governance cadence installed for the duration.
- Transition memo at close. Read by the board, the principals, and the legal counsel.
What is not included.
- Not execution. The advisor reads the decision. The client decides. The client's operators, lawyers, and accountants execute.
- Not implementation. No project management, no PMO, no hands-on operational work. For implementation, hire a consultant or a fractional executive.
- Not legal or tax advice. The read may surface a legal or tax question. Your counsel answers it. The advisor does not.
- Not coaching. No behaviour development, no accountability program, no weekly check-ins on personal habits. For that, hire a coach.
- Not a deck or binder. No 47-slide presentation. No 80-page report. The artifact is the decision read, written compactly.
- Not endless availability. Tiered cadence. Tier 01 is one read per month. Tier 02 is two reads per month with async between. Tier 03 is scoped to the transition.
The process guarantee.
No outcome is guaranteed. No revenue, profit, valuation, hiring, growth, restructuring, or exit result is promised. The client decides, acts, and bears the result. What is guaranteed is the process:

- Confidentiality. No client names disclosed anywhere, ever. Default is silence.
- Direct read. The advisor speaks to the principal, not through gatekeepers.
- Written engagement letter before any work begins.
- Personal reply to every application within 48 hours. Yes with a time, no with a reason and a redirect, never silence.
- Honest reads. Sometimes the read concludes the decision is not yet ready to be made. That is a successful, honest outcome.
- No mass intake, no waitlist, no booking widget, no upsell loop.
Refund detail at /terms. Tier 01 Outside Read — Monthly is a recurring monthly subscription; cancel any time with 30-day written notice (notice period is paid; months already worked are earned; no outcome-based refunds). Tier 02 has a three-month minimum, non-refundable on the minimum, with 30-day notice termination afterward.
Common questions.
- What if I disagree with the read?
- The read is honest, not infallible. If you disagree, the conversation continues. The advisor does not need the client to agree to close the engagement. The client decides what to do with the read.
- What if the decision changes during the engagement?
- Common. Decisions shift as new information lands. The read shifts with them. Tier 01 Outside Read — Monthly is designed for this: each month's call addresses whatever you are carrying, so a shifted decision is the same month's work or next month's, not a separate engagement.
- How is this different from a 'free strategy call' or 'free audit'?
- There is no free strategy call. There is no free audit. Free conversations exist to sell a paid engagement. The first paid conversation is the engagement. If the read concludes the engagement is not the right fit, the fee is refunded per the terms above.
- Can I bring my team or my board into the conversation?
- Tier 01 is principal-only. Tier 02 is principal-only unless explicitly scoped otherwise. Tier 03 is multi-principal by design. The decision-rights conversation determines who belongs in the room.
- How do I know which tier fits?
- Apply with the decision in plain language. If Tier 01 fits, you will be told. If Tier 02 fits, you will be told. If neither fits, you will be redirected to a better-fit route on this site or elsewhere. Personal reply within 48 hours.
